Attendance Policy

Coming to therapy regularly benefits your child. When sessions are missed or canceled late, it affects your child’s progress and limits time for other clients. This policy helps everyone get fair and consistent service.

Scheduling

• Your child will be given one or more regular weekly time slots.
• Unless otherwise stated, your child is expected to attend on the same day and time every week.
• If you wish to change to a different time slot, please let us know as early as possible.

Cancellations

• If you are unable to attend, please cancel at least 4 hours before your session.
• Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the session will be counted as a late cancellation.
• Repeated absences may lead to the loss of your assigned slot.
• If you already know you'll be missing several sessions (for instance for travel or school trips), please let us know as early as possible.

Being Late

• Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your session
• If you are late for your session, the session may still end at the scheduled time.
• Please be available 10 minutes before the end of the session to hear the feedback of the therapists.

Late / No show fees

• Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a ₱500 absence fee.

Illness

• Please keep your child at home if they are sick (fever, vomiting, contagious illness, etc.)
• We may cancel or reschedule a session if a child arrives sick.

Make-up Sessions

• We will offer a make-up session if the therapist’s schedule allows for it.
• Make-up sessions are not guaranteed and should be completed within 2 weeks of the missed session.

Payment

• Please settle any unpaid balance before the start of your session.
• If you paid in advance for a session and cancel it, the amount will be turned into credit for future sessions, after deduction of any applicable fees.
• For initial evaluations, we require a ₱1,000 down-payment. This down-payment is non-refundable.

Reports

• Evaluation reports will be completed within 2 months after the initial evaluation.
• Progress reports will be completed within 2 weeks after payment for the report.

Waiting List

• If we can't schedule your child right away, we will offer to add your child to our waiting list.
• Slots are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Clients who already avail of Occupational Therapy sessions with Sound Steps Therapy Center are prioritized for a Speech Therapy slot, and vice versa.
• Reserving a slot is not possible. If you are not able to accept the slot offered to you, you will keep your position on the waiting list for the next available slot.

Communication

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you have any schedule concerns or unexpected situations, please contact us as soon as possible. We are happy to work with you to find the best solution for you and your child.
